Unreinforced Masonry Buildings

The unreinforced masonry retrofit manual is a guideline for determining the current seismic capacity of buildings from New Zealand’s unreinforced masonry building stock. Additionally, the guideline advises on selection and design of appropriate retrofit methods for improving building seismic performance.

The commentary to the unreinforced masonry retrofit manual provides insight to guideline procedures and their derivation, as well as worked examples of building assessment and retrofit design to assist interpretation. Provided also are the seminar slides pertaining to the unreinforced masonry retrofit manual from the February seminar series as presented by Associate Professor Jason Ingham.
