The Seismic Retrofit Research Board (SRRB) is an industry advisory group that has been formed under the leadership of Dene Cook, representing the Structural Engineering Society of New Zealand (SESOC). SESOC are providing cofunding for the Seismic Retrofit Solutions research study through their financial support for the SRRB. Membership of the SRRB is comprised of practicing structural designers regularly engaged in seismic retrofits, structural materials suppliers, and government building officials.
The purpose of the SRRB is to provide guidance to the research team in identifying the priority needs for seismic retrofit research attention in New Zealand, to assistance in the design of experimental studies, and to comment on how research finding may be presented to practicing designers in a manner facilitating their use. Members of the SRRB are also acting as external advisors to research students involved in the Seismic Retrofit Solutions study.
The SRRB provide advice only, and have no liability or responsibility for the outputs from the research program. The people on the advisory team are:
